The LGA in the CB Scheme

In February 2003 the LGA received the accreditation for participating in the IECEE / CB Certification Procedure of the IEC. The "IEC System for Mutual Recognition of Test Certificates for Electrical Equipment" (CB Scheme) offers you a fast and easy access to international sales of your products.

IEC / IECEE CB Scheme

How do you as a manufacturer / exporter profit from the CB Scheme?

The CB Scheme is a great support for all manufacturers and exporters who export their products to countries participating in the CB Scheme and who want to get the relevant national certification mark.

You cooperate with one NCB only. This NCB tests your products according to the IEC standard and according to national deviations for those countries to which you intend to export your product and for which you seek to get a certification mark. If necessary, this NCB carries out a factory inspection, too.

The CB test report and the CB certificate are acknowledged internationally. So you may use these documents for gaining other national certification marks - on the condition that the relevant NCB participates in the CB Scheme and has been accepted to the CB Scheme for the relevant IEC Standard. You have to appply with the national NCB and hand over a test sample, however, only visual tests will be carried out. We offer a shortened process of treatment so that a long waiting time is avoided. That means that you save time and money and ensure market profits at the same time.

Together with its CBTL - CB Testing Laboratory accredited in 1994, the LGA has been entitled to work in this procedure as a CB Certification Body (Issuing and Recognizing NCB - National Certification Body).

Our CB Certification Accreditation comprises the following areas:

  • Household appliances: IEC 60335
  • Lamps and luminaires: IEC 60598 and others
  • Transformers: IEC 61558 and others
  • Electric tools: IEC 60745, IEC 61029 and others
  • Information technology equipment: IEC 60950
  • Electronic appliances: IEC 60065 and others
  • Measuring instrument: IEC 61010 and others
  • Electrical equipment for medical use: IEC 60601-1 and others
  • Electromagnetic Compatabilitiy: CISPR14-1 and others
