LGA - The Service Company

The TÜV Rheinland LGA Beteiligungs GmbH and the companies of its group have their traditional roots in the LGA Landesgewerbeanstalt Bayern. Since 2005 they are part of the TÜV Rheinland Group. The LGA companies work impartially and independently for companies of all economical sectors both at the national and international level. Moreover the LGA provides services for private and public customers. The services essentially contain testing, basic and advanced training, consulting and certification.

The LGA group is committed to a continuous quality assurance aiming at increasing customer satisfaction. This is documented by a certified management system.

Product testing and certification

On behalf of our clients, we test and certify all kinds of consumer products, such as household appliances, furniture, toys, tools, e.g. for safety, EMC, acoustics and fitness for use. Project-orientated teams assure you the greatest efficiency, legal security and greater competitiveness.

With our representative offices, affiliates and contract partners, the LGA supports its clients with a network in all important world markets. Our test reports and certificates help you to get national certification. We have the right people on the spot to support our clients with the same highly appreciated quality in testing and certification services as at the Nuremberg head office, with its 600 employees.

EURO INFO CENTRE

We are an official EURO INFO CENTRE (EIC) of the European Commission/ company executive board and part of a European network of around 300 EICs in 37 countries. On this basis, and with our good connections with Brussels, we can supply you with all the latest information and sound advice on all EU matters.

Structural engineering

The LGA provides a complete range of consultancy, testing and commissioned research services covering historical sites as well as all aspects of structural, geotechnical, hydrotechnical and general civil engineering.

Our consultancy and expertise has frequently been used by governments and international companies, as well as by small to medium-sized enterprises. The LGA is active in a number of special areas, e. g: structures and buildings, deep excavations in urban areas, road/motorway construction & maintenance, bridges and tunnels, power plants, large dams, landfill construction, airports, historical sites.

International Projects

The LGA provides expertise in project management, project design, project risk assessments, site investigations, material testing and general contracting services throughout the world.
Professional staff members of the Civil Engineering Department have extensive experience in structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, hydrotechnical engineering, constructional dynamics, reconstruction of historical sites and many other areas.

Structural analysis

The members of the Structural Analysis Division are responsible for the safety of buildings, bridges, subway tunnels and even roller-coasters. They carry out tests and examinations in the context of official building approvals for the stability of individual construction projects and their fitness for purpose. They also carry out type testing throughout the whole of Bavaria.
